Private Client - Shower Room renovation
This was an old farm bathroom that was almost identical to that of the Farm museum at the National Museum of Rural Life. It was dated, damp and grotty. The room was stripped back to the bear brick with a new insulated concrete floor to help save energy.
The floor and walls were tiled with natural slate tiles with feature walls behind the sink and in the shower. Around the window was boxed out to conceal the soil vent pipe and create some character to the whole room. The sink sits upon a granite worktop with feature downlights above both the sink and within the walk-in shower.
Feature shelfs were incorporated into the design which was finished off with a modern black towel rail, pebble grey walls and a natural wooden blind.
